Jewish and Christian psalmody have a common source, the Book of Psalms from Hebrew and Christian Bible. Psalm, although identical texts for Jews an Christians, are embedded in a different religious context. For Hebrews it is in a context of Judaic monoteism, for Christians a context of Christianity and christology, a context of Christ message. Forms of the psalmody worhip are different: for Hebrews it is the synagogue worship and a context Jewish feasts, for Christians a mass and canonical hours for priests and monastery communities. A study of Vladimír Fulka seeks to uncover common roots of the Hebrew and Christian psalmody in worships, what unifies them in liturgy and music. In the Christianity, psalms, as a part of the Gregorian chant, have been a platform and an intersection of ancient Jewish and Christian musical practices.
