Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts are accepted on a rolling basis or within the deadlines specified in the current Call for Papers. Only manuscripts presenting original results of the authors’ own scholarly research that have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal will be considered for evaluation. Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal constitutes a serious breach of publication ethics.
- Submission format: Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word (.docx) format to either of the Editorial Office’s e-mail addresses: ceviews@ukf.sk or stredoeuropskepohlady@ukf.sk.
- Manuscript template: Authors are required to use the journal’s official manuscript template.
- Publication Fees (APCs): The journal does not charge any fees for manuscript submission, peer review, or article publication. No Submission Fees or Article Processing Charges (APCs) apply. Publication in the journal is free of charge for authors.
Manuscript Structure
A research article should contain the following components:
- Title in the language of the manuscript and in English.
- Abstract in the language of the manuscript and an extended abstract in English (150–250 words).
- Keywords in both languages (5–7 keywords).
- Introduction, including the definition of the research problem and research objectives.
- Theoretical Framework and Methodology.
- Analysis and/or Interpretation.
- Research Findings and Conclusion.
- References, prepared in strict accordance with the journal’s citation style. Authors are encouraged to include DOIs for all cited sources for which they are available.
Manuscript Anonymisation
To ensure the integrity of the double-anonymous peer-review process, authors are required to submit two separate versions of the manuscript.
- Complete version: This version must include the author’s full name, academic titles (if applicable), institutional affiliation, country, the corresponding author’s e-mail address, ORCID iD, information on research funding (grants/projects), a declaration of any conflicts of interest, and acknowledgements.
- Anonymised version: This version must not contain any names, personal identifiers, references to the author’s own grants or projects, or any other information that could reveal the identity of the author or the author’s institution. Personal information must also be removed from the Microsoft Word file metadata.
Authorship and Responsibility
An author is a person who has made a substantial contribution to the conception of the research, its implementation, the analysis or interpretation of the findings, and has participated in the preparation of the manuscript. Individuals who have provided only administrative or technical assistance should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript prior to its submission.
