Abstract:

The aim of the study is to present selected spiritual-Catholic literary works of authors from Outside the official literature at the time of communist totality in Slovakia (respectively Czechoslovakia) and Hungary, such as Pavol Strauss, Jozef Tóth – Sándor Sík, Lászlo Mécs, Sándor Weöres. Some were tolerated by The ruling state power (an existence of a so-called grey eminence, there was even a Catholic literary magazine Vigilia being published in Hungary, what was not allowed in Czech Republic or Slovakia in this period of Time). This was mostly because of their religious conviction or disagreement with the socio-political situation. Their literary works, their activities in the field of culture and church could be considered as a reaction to the Political processes in the time of communist totalitarianism.
